Duties

You will assign work and manage the preparation of execution documents in accordance with program budgets, contracting, and business and financial management program planning.

You will develop, coordinate, and present briefs to various management levels to support financial objectives of the Program.

You will identify and document out-year funding requirements.

You will coordinate with resource sponsors to develop, present, and defend Program Objective Memorandum and Program Review submissions, justifications and related artifacts.

You will prepare supplemental budget documentation for the management of acquisition, business and infrastructure programs and events.

You will analyze financial data in support of mandated benchmarks and recommend ways to improve overall obligation and expenditure rates.

You will prepare impact statements, explanations and remedial plans for senior management when obligations and expenditures vary from promulgated phasing plans.

You will review and revise operational budgets to reflect changes in funding or program objectives.

You will provide financial oversight to ensure efficient use of funds and evaluate data to recommend changes to improve effectiveness.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
