The Account Manager will prospect new business while providing excellent customer service and retention skills to maintain an existing book of business. Utilizing a consultative selling approach the Account Manager matches prospect’s needs with our clients’ services and aims to secure long-term partnerships.
Job Duties:
Selling commercial waste removal, disposal and recycling services while maintaining current clients under contract, negotiate terms and conditions
Preparing bids, weekly call reports and calling new and existing customers
Develop list of prospective accounts and key contacts and retain current customers under contract
Cold call companies in proximity of clients’ to build business relationships.
Customer retention with existing customer base
Must demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills.
Enter detailed information gathered into Salesforce CRM system for future follow up
Meet or exceed sales activity goals for new sales on a monthly basis
Periodic overnight travel is required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred – NEW GRADS WELCOME- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a minimum of three years sales experience with proven results
Professional presentation; is confident, assertive and displays a high level of self-esteem
Completion of sales courses in Strategic Selling and Sales Negotiation
Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.) and Salesforce or comparable CRM tool is a plus.
Strong math aptitude with the skills needed to estimate pricing and calculate margins.
This position requires frequent driving and must be able to pass an MVR check
MS Office proficient, SalesForce and technical proficiency required
