Highmark Health Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Join Highmark Health as a Senior Product Owner for Enterprise Data Solutions, where you will lead the charge in a transformative initiative to modernize our data platforms. We are revamping our data ecosystem, with a hybrid iceberg data lakehouse at the core. Your mission will be to oversee the data registration, access, and delivery through a Unified Access Tier/Semantic Layer, ensuring it serves both human users and automated systems, including AI. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in developing the Unified Access Tier while fostering innovation across our teams. Your deep understanding of our data and AI platforms will allow you to prioritize work effectively, negotiate trade-offs, and align technological capabilities with business goals. Building strong partnerships with technology and business stakeholders will be essential to maintaining trust and ensuring successful collaboration. You will be responsible for translating technical activities into business value, managing a dynamic backlog, and engaging with cross-functional teams to drive outcomes. Your expertise in modern data architecture and best practices will enable us to deliver high-quality features that enhance user experiences. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Set clear priorities and manage the team backlog, negotiating trade-offs with stakeholders to optimize delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the product vision and roadmap; communicate progress and status effectively. Balance Product Management and Ownership roles, representing our product to various audiences. Utilize market insights and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements. Drive the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring quality deliverables throughout. Act as a Servant-Leader for cross-functional teams, empowering them to meet their objectives. Engage in value realization discussions with business stakeholders regarding our technology products. Provide mentorship and guidance to other Product Owners within the organization. Articulate acceptance criteria and communicate updates to the executive leadership team. Prioritize the team backlog to ensure continual progress, identifying themes and initiatives collaboratively. Clearly convey operational impacts and product updates to business stakeholders. Review and accept completed work from the team, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria. Monitor and report on team metrics, ensuring accurate representation of targeted outcomes. Perform additional responsibilities as needed. EDUCATION Required Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. EXPERIENCE Required 5 years of experience in Product Ownership, Strategic Consulting, or Product Development. Preferred 5+ years in enterprise platform product management with experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., Healthcare). 2-5 years of experience using Semantic Layers, ideally with tools like Starburst or Dremio. 2-5 years of data architecture experience with an understanding of end-to-end data governance. Strong storytelling skills for presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools within a data ecosystem context. Knowledge of technologies including GCP, Databricks, Confluent Kafka, and others relevant to data integration. Preferred experience with healthcare data integration platforms like Facets and Availity. LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS Preferred Agile certifications (SAFe, Scrum Alliance, etc.) or PMP. SKILLS Ability to foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. Proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development. Exceptional prioritization, collaboration, and negotiation skills. Effective communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Experience working within cross-functional teams and adapting to change. Solid understanding of the healthcare industry. $92,300.00 Pay Range Maximum:
