What You'll Actually Be Doing:
You won't be on the phone or sending cold emails. You'll be behind the camera, running live selling sessions on TikTok Shop and coaching hosts to convert viewers into buyers in real time. Think of it this way: the host is on the call, and you're the sales manager in their ear – plus you will be on mic, jumping in and talking with the host and to viewers as an off-camera personality. Day to day, that looks like:
Running TikTok Shop live streams built around conversion Structuring live selling segments the same way a strong rep structures a call: fast rapport, clear value, objection handling, urgency, close Coaching hosts on phrasing, timing, and how to read the room through live chat and real-time metrics Jumping on the mic yourself when the moment calls for it to drive viewers to purchase Diagnosing what went wrong when a session doesn't convert, and fixing it for the next one Owning your numbers. Performance is tracked, visible, and tied directly to revenue Phone sales (inbound, outbound, one-call close) Commission-driven or performance-tracked roles Environments where results were measured daily, not quarterly Roles where you had to think fast, adapt your pitch, and earn the outcome Nice to have (not required):
Familiarity with eCommerce, DTC, or social commerce Who This Role Is Not For
If your background is primarily in traditional TV, film, or digital production with large crews and fixed roles – and don’t have hands-on sales experience – this probably isn't the right fit. We're not looking for someone who thinks in shots and lighting setups (we handle that). We're looking for someone who thinks about closing.
