Role Overview SpanIdea is seeking a

Business Development Leader

based in

Santa Clara

to drive

North America GTM and revenue growth

across

Systems Engineering, IoT, Edge AI, Digital Engineering, Automotive, and Product Engineering services .

This is a

hands‑on, senior sales leadership role

with full ownership of the

end‑to‑end sales lifecycle , executive customer engagement, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute North America GTM strategy for Systems Engineering, IoT, Edge AI, Digital Engineering, Automotive, and Product Engineering

Drive new logo acquisition and account expansion with OEMs, Tier-1s, and technology companies

Personally engage customers to identify opportunities, define value propositions, and close deals

Lead end‑to‑end sales execution: prospecting, discovery, solutioning, proposals, negotiation, and closure

Conduct techno‑commercial discussions across IoT platforms, Edge AI, digital platforms, embedded systems, and product engineering

Build and nurture long‑term executive relationships with CXOs, VPs, engineering, and digital leaders

Identify and develop strategic partnerships and ecosystem alliances (silicon vendors, platform providers, cloud partners)

Achieve and exceed revenue, pipeline, and growth targets for North America

Collaborate closely with delivery, engineering, and digital teams to align solutions with customer needs

Operate independently with strong ownership, accountability, and execution discipline

Key Qualifications

6–15 years of experience in business development / sales within Systems, IoT, Edge AI, Digital Engineering, Automotive, or Product Engineering services

Strong understanding of IoT & Edge AI platforms, digital engineering, embedded software, automotive systems, and product lifecycles

Proven track record of selling complex engineering and digital services to OEMs, Tier‑1s, and product companies

Experience engaging with engineering, product, digital, and R&D leadership

Strong grasp of services engagement models (T&M, Fixed Bid, Managed Services)

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Self‑driven, entrepreneurial, and outcome‑focused mindset
