Overview
Advion, Inc. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of our North American marketing initiatives, while working alongside our international teams. This position blends high-level planning with active execution, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both shaping strategy and creating impactful marketing work. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Service to strengthen brand awareness, drive qualified lead generation, and support revenue growth across key markets.
Key Responsibilities In this role, you will develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that align with business objectives and support new product introductions. You will guide product positioning and messaging, ensuring that campaigns effectively reach target audiences through digital marketing, events, media partnerships, and other channels. Working closely with Sales, you will help build tools, training resources, and pipeline strategies that strengthen conversion from early-stage prospects to qualified opportunities.
You will also lead the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives, including the creation of marketing collateral, email campaigns, trade show materials, and digital content. Maintaining brand consistency and technical accuracy across global marketing materials will be an important part of the role. In addition, you will manage and optimize the Salesforce CRM, supporting reporting, lead management, and campaign tracking while building dashboards that clearly measure performance and ROI.
Another key aspect of this position involves managing Advion's digital presence. You will oversee multiple WordPress websites, contribute to SEO and SEM initiatives, and leverage analytics tools to improve performance and user engagement. Experience with AI-driven marketing automation and conversion optimization will be highly valuable. Alongside these responsibilities, you will manage the marketing budget, develop KPI-driven reports, and help ensure that marketing investments align with business goals.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, corporate communications, or a related field and bring at least 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible marketing experience, preferably in the bio-science industry, including leadership or management responsibilities. You should be comfortable working across organizational boundaries, collaborating with technical and commercial teams, and balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with advanced experience using Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress development tools, and Salesforce CRM. Industry experience in chemistry, mass spectrometry, chromatography, or purification is highly desirable.
Work Environment This is an on-site role based in Ithaca, New York, with up to 25% travel for trade shows and industry events. The position primarily involves office-based work but may occasionally require supporting event setup activities.
