Role This is a great opportunity to join Tourism Ireland’s US team and lead the planning and delivery of best-in-class integrated marketing campaigns across a dynamic media landscape, to deliver business impact. As Consumer Marketing Manager, you will shape and execute high-impact initiatives that inspire US audiences to visit the Island of Ireland from the number one market by revenue for Irish tourism. Key Results Area
Consumer Strategy Development and Collaboration:
Work closely with central Tourism Ireland teams, advertising, and media agencies to create a compelling consumer strategy which will deliver on key Business Performance Indicators (BPIs).
Integrated Marketing Campaigns for US Market:
Assume responsibility for US consumer journey management. Develop integrated consumer advertising campaigns which focus on targeted US consumer segments, optimise investment across channel mix, to deliver visitors to the island of Ireland.
Lead the planning and execution of Tourism Ireland’s consumer advertising and digital campaigns including TV, maximising effectiveness through strong audience insight, media planning, execution and evaluation.
Oversee US eCRM functions and strategy. Ensure optimal use of digital communications to deliver best in class campaigns to target segments against agreed business objectives.
Oversee the US Ireland.com website ensuring that it is an engaging destination for consumers, delivering a key platform for stakeholders.
Oversee US social media strategy in partnership with global social teams, ensuring market-specific priorities are met through vibrant community engagement, innovative campaigns, and seamless integration of social across all US communications.
Oversee US Search and PCS strategy.
Oversee the development and leverage content partnerships with diaspora media outlets and organisations to drive advocacy.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and inspire a team of four marketing professionals to produce consistently excellent and innovative work.
Analytics and Campaign Optimisations:
Lead the US analytics framework to ensure all campaigns are measured and optimised to deliver the best possible ROI. Analyse and produce clear reports for department activity. Collect market and competitor intelligence to ensure Tourism Ireland is best in class.
Integration and Brand Alignment:
Ensure integration of activities with PR and Brand Partnerships. Ensure synergy of brand across all US communications in line with global brand and business strategy.
Agency management:
Lead the day-to-day relationship with agency partners to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and delivery against key business objectives (including media, creative and social agency partners).
Brand Partnerships : Manage Tourism Ireland engagement with non-travel brands, ensure full alignment and fit with target audience, to showcase the island of Ireland at scale in new and surprising environments.
Oversee the development of integrated multi-channel marketing partnerships around
major sporting events
taking place in Ireland, to maximise tourism potential for visitation, including the execution of Golf in Ireland advertising and digital campaign plans.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
Manage stakeholder liaison, working closely with Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland and other key stakeholders.
Budget Management:
Manage allocated budgets in line with company policy and procedures while maximising use of funds to achieve the best return on investment.
Data compliance:
Take responsibility for ensuring the management of personal data adheres to the company’s GDPR compliance policies and procedures
Such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require. This job will involve some travel and unsocial hours. The post holder will also be required to represent Tourism Ireland at various industry and corporate events.
The Person The successful candidate will possess the following skills, experience and competencies.
Educated to degree level with a qualification in business, marketing, communications or other relevant discipline.
Relevant marketing experience including:
Full marketing mix experience demonstrated understanding across full media mix (paid and organic), with experience in applying new and emerging technologies to consumer marketing activity.
Experience of brand marketing across a broad spectrum of consumer marketing channels and techniques.
Management of budgets
Experience in leading a high-performing team with strong team management ability. A highly motivated individual with the ability to lead and inspire a team, to support their development, to set goals and motivate to succeed.
Extensive experience of managing creative and media agencies.
Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to use audience insight and data to shape communications plans and campaigns.
Good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills. Strong stakeholder manager with an ability to deal confidently with all levels of seniority and influence outcomes.
Strong presentation skills with ability to create impactful decks
