Up Campus Management is hiring a New Development Brand & Social Media Manager to drive early brand adoption and campus momentum for The Leo, a brand-new, purpose-built student housing community in Tallahassee, Florida.

This role is responsible for making The Leo feel inevitable on campus — known, talked about, and socially validated well before peak leasing season.

This is an ideal role for someone who understands how students influence student decisions, thrives in early-stage brand building, and enjoys working hands‑on with student teams, ambassadors, and influencers in a fast‑paced lease‑up environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE The New Development Brand & Social Media Manager owns early‑stage brand visibility, voice, and momentum for the property. This role leverages corporate marketing resources, onsite student employees, and brand ambassadors to execute authentic, campus‑relevant marketing strategies that resonate with Gen Z.

The position works closely with onsite leasing leadership to ensure social traction translates into tours, applications, and pre‑leasing performance. This role is accountable for brand awareness, engagement, and the conversion of social momentum into measurable leasing outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Brand Awareness, Momentum & Social Proof

Drive early campus-level awareness ahead of competitor renewals and leasing launches

Establish The Leo as a known, talked-about, and socially validated brand on campus

Create visible momentum that generates urgency, demand, and FOMO

Convert social traction into leasing office tours and pre‑leasing activity

Student Employee & Brand Ambassador Activation

Recruit, train, and activate student employees and brand ambassadors as on‑campus brand extensions

Collaborate with students to ideate, test, and refine content rooted in real campus culture

Use student feedback loops to quickly adjust messaging, tone, and tactics

Empower students to co‑create authentic content that drives peer‑to‑peer credibility and engagement

Influencer Seeding & Early Adoption Strategy

Design early‑stage brand seeding strategies ahead of renewal and new leasing launches

Identify and activate first‑mover students across org leadership, Greek life, athletics, and international communities

Build insider access and exclusivity for early followers, ambassadors, and influencers

Amplify early traction into social proof and scarcity through targeted messaging

Brand Strategy, Content & Execution

Own brand voice, tone, and visual consistency across social platforms

Build and execute content calendars aligned with leasing milestones and campus events

Produce and edit high‑impact short‑form content using platforms and tools popular with Gen Z (Instagram, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, and emerging platforms)

Track awareness and engagement KPIs and share insights with leasing and marketing teams

Requirements WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience supporting new developments or lease‑ups preferred

Strong instinct for how students influence student decisions and trends

Hands‑on proficiency across Gen Z‑focused social platforms and creative tools (Instagram, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, etc.)

Comfortable collaborating closely with student teams, ambassadors, and influencers

Familiarity with student housing or Gen‑Z lifestyle brands preferred

Experience tying social performance and engagement to leasing or conversion outcomes

Comfortable moving quickly, testing ideas, and iterating in real time

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Full‑time role

Schedule aligned with campus activity, events, and leasing milestones

Evenings and occasional weekends as needed during peak activation periods

Onsite, campus‑facing role
