Role Overview
Midwest Cards is not just a card shop. We create moments of surprise, anticipation, and shared experience for collectors, families, and fans.
The Marketing Manager owns our brand voice, storytelling engine, and content strategy. This role ensures that every customer touchpoint — from Instagram reels to in-store signage to live breaks — feels unmistakably Midwest Cards.
This person is equal parts brand architect, storyteller, and strategic operator.
They will work closely with the Executive Team, Creative Lead, Social Media Manager, and On-Air Talent to plan and deploy marketing that drives awareness, trust, community, and revenue.
Core Responsibility Own and evolve the Midwest Cards brand and content ecosystem.
You are the steward of our voice, narrative, and strategic marketing calendar.
You ensure that what we say, how we say it, and when we say it aligns with our Brand North Star and EOS execution framework.
Key Accountabilities
Brand Ownership Protect and evolve the Midwest Cards brand voice (Magician / Explorer energy) Ensure consistency across retail, ecommerce, live breaking, events, and partnerships Maintain brand playbooks, messaging pillars, and campaign frameworks Collaborate with leadership to refine positioning as the business grows
Content Strategy & Planning Build and manage the master content calendar (quarterly + monthly planning) with a focus on in-moment content and quick turns. Align marketing initiatives to EOS Rocks and company priorities Develop campaigns around product releases, events, partnerships, and promotions Identify storytelling opportunities inside the business (customer stories, big pulls, team highlights, etc.) Translate business priorities into compelling marketing narratives
Storytelling & Creative Direction Write or oversee scripts for: Social videos, Paid ads, Email campaigns, Website content, Event promotions Work closely with the Creative Lead on visual direction Guide On-Air Talent to ensure brand-aligned messaging Collaborate with Social Media Manager on execution and distribution strategy
Execution & Deployment Personally execute high-leverage marketing pieces when needed Review and approve marketing outputs before publication Coordinate cross-department launch plans Ensure campaigns are deployed on time and with excellence Track performance and iterate
Performance & Optimization Own marketing KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversion, revenue lift, customer retention touchpoints) Review campaign results and adjust strategy Identify growth opportunities and test new formats Build reporting dashboards with leadership

A strategic thinker who can see 6–12 months ahead
A strong writer with natural storytelling instincts
Brand-obsessed and detail-oriented
Comfortable giving creative direction
No non-sense. Deliverables must meet or achieve our standards.
Data-aware but not creatively constrained
Able to operate independently and push projects forward
Energized by community, sports culture, and collectibles
Able to show creative, brand-focus content that you have produced (and continue to produce)
Bonus if you:
Have experience in e-commerce or retail marketing
Understand the sports card / collectibles ecosystem
Have worked within an EOS organization
Have produced video scripts or managed content creators
