Loan Servicing Specialist - SBA
Preference is for an onsite candidate based in our San Antonio office.
Summary The Loan Servicing Specialist SBA supports the Government Guaranteed Lending (GGL) Operations team by performing comprehensive post‑origination servicing functions for SBA 7(a) and 504 loans. This includes assisting with SBA reporting, loan reconciliations, repurchase and repair packages, financial accounting support, and building and maintaining loans within LoanPro.

Monitor, maintain, and service the SBA loan portfolio in accordance with SBA SOPs, bank policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with SBA reporting including 1502 reporting, investor reporting, and remittance processing.
Support preparation and submission of repurchase and repair packages, including documentation gathering and issue tracking.
Perform loan payment reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve borrower and internal servicing issues.
Build and maintain SBA loans in LoanPro, ensuring accurate loan setup, amortization schedules, attributes, and servicing data.
Prepare, review, and maintain servicing documentation such as financial statement tracking, insurance monitoring, UCC continuations, and collateral updates.
Process servicing actions including deferments, modifications, collateral substitutions, assumptions, and subordinations.
Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate GL reconciliation, reporting, and transaction posting.
Identify, investigate, and elevate servicing irregularities, borrower concerns, or collateral deficiencies.
Support internal audits, SBA reviews, and quality‑control processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of loan files.

Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Knowledge/Skills
5+ years of experience in SBA loan servicing, processing, or operations.
Understanding of SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs and related servicing requirements.
Experience with loan servicing systems; LoanPro experience preferred.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem‑solving skills.
Understanding of commercial loan documentation, UCCs, insurance, and collateral tracking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Experiences
Experience collaborating with credit, compliance, accounting, and operations teams.
Prior involvement with SBA audits or file reviews.
