Lead Sales Associate – Berry Good Buys The Berry Good Buys Lead Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the Berry Good Buys resale store, from the shopping experience to the donation experience. This position has key responsibilities alongside the manager, which includes responsibility for daily sales targets, customer experience, safety and security of the building, and accurate financial deposits.
Responsibilities include acting as Coordinator when the Retail Operations Coordinator is off, opening and closing the store, securing the building, opening the registers, preparing the tills, and completing a daily deposit. Other key responsibilities include assisting with the weekly staff schedule, checking the store email & voicemail system. When not assuming responsibilities of store manager, this position has the responsibility of a sales associate, which includes greeting customers, completing point of sales, moving product from donation area out into the store, pricing and organizing donations in preparation to be sold and managing the donation drop off area. Supreme customer service is a priority at all points between interactions with customers, clients and donors.
Additionally, the Retail Operations Coordinator & Lead Sales Associate are responsible for the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store, as Berry Good Buys is a direct reflection of The Archway in the community. The Berry Good Buys store is a significant funding source for The Archway – the success of the store is imperative to the success of The Archway and serving survivors of domestic violence.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills, such as email & Microsoft Word
Understanding of basic retail principles and good math skills
Basic knowledge of POS systems and computers
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function as a part of a team and work in collaboration with others.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, and stand, reach and walk for extended periods of time
Ability to provide culturally competent services and work with diverse staff and clientele in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner
Must be able to pass a background check
