Position Summary: This position assists in the procurement of supplies and materials to support two manufacturing facilities
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignments are in place to meet the company’s needs.
Generate Purchase Orders to ensure proper levels of materials and services at the plant are maintained to ensure the supply chain is operating smoothly.
Work within the ERP system in an orderly and timely manner.
Communicate with Production, Quality, and Accounting regarding delays and other issues.
Identify new sources of procurement to save costs.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Understanding of ERP/MRP Systems; Microsoft Dynamic preferred
Basic analytical skills with the ability to multitask, manage time effectively, review pricing, compare quotes, and support cost control efforts.
Basic working knowledge of purchasing procedures, contracts, and procurement policies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Understanding of contracts and purchasing procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and meet deadlines.
Ability to work cohesivity in a team environment.
Ability to manage supplier relationships and follow-up on pricing, delivery, and order accuracy.
Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license.
Education, Experience and Training:
AS Degree in Business Administration or related field
3+ years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing in an industrial setting.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
This role is performed on-site and requires regular in-office attendance.
Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasional squatting, bending, or reaching.
Ability to travel as needed to support procurement activities and supplier relationships.
