Overview of Role We’re looking for a Paid Media Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of our Search, Shopping, and Performance Max (PMax) campaigns across Google and Microsoft Ads. This role is hands‑on and execution-focused, with a strong emphasis on account health, performance monitoring, and continuous data‑driven optimization & testing. As our Paid Media Specialist, you will be involved in every aspect of campaign management, from strategy development & planning to execution & reporting. You will work closely with the Paid Media Manager to help shape channel strategies & priorities and execute those strategies across Google & Microsoft. If you enjoy being close to data and understanding what it means, have a deep understanding of the mechanics of Search and Shopping, and want clear ownership over performance, then this role is perfect for you!
Primary Responsibilities Execution of Campaign Strategy & Optimizations
Own the day-to-day management of Search & Shopping campaigns across Google and Microsoft Ads.
Execute ongoing account optimizations, including (but not limited to) search term mining & negative keyword management, keyword expansion, bid and budget optimizations, Shopping product optimizations, and ad/asset/creative refreshes & testing.
Support sitewide discount messaging across Search and Shopping channels.
Own the creation/builds of new campaigns and ensure proper campaign structures for optimal performance and scalability.
Maintain strong account hygiene through regular QAs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. analytics, creative, merchandising, etc.) as needed.
Reporting
Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights. Share weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance updates & insights with Paid Media Team & leadership.
Track and report on channel effectiveness & identify optimization opportunities.
Proactively identify & address ad account issues, such as spend anomalies, performance drops, and disapprovals.
Track emerging trends (keywords, competitors, industry, etc.) in the paid space to identify areas of opportunity.
Testing & Experimentation
Identify opportunities to test and improve performance based on data, observed trends, and new ad platform capabilities.
Propose test ideas with clear hypotheses, success metrics, and expected impact.
Execute approved tests, monitor results & document learnings, and make recommendations based on observations.

What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience managing paid Search and/or Shopping campaigns. Agency experience a plus.
Experience in the Google Ads platform a requirement, Microsoft Ads a plus.
Experience working in Google Merchant Center a plus.
Proficient in Excel.
Experience with product feeds or feed management tools a plus.
Experience managing paid strategy for e‑commerce & B2B a plus.
Experience managing budgets of $100k/month.
Experience with external reporting tools a plus (e.g. Looker, Looker Studio, GA4, Supermetrics, Tableau, etc.)
This is a US Remote position. The California base annual salary/hourly range for this role is currently $65,000 to $85,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
