LAA is seeking a
full-time Pre‑K–12 Physical Education Teacher & Athletic Director
for the
2026–2027 school year . This position provides instructional leadership in physical education while overseeing the school’s athletic programs. Teach physical education for Pre‑K through grade 12.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and implement engaging, physical education curriculum for Pre‑K through 10th
Serve as Athletic Director, overseeing all interscholastic athletic programs
Coordinate and schedule multiple sports seasons, practices, games, and transportation
Recruit, supervise, and support volunteer and paid coaches
Ensure compliance with league, conference, and school policies
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and Christ‑centered character development
Maintain and support an athletic booster club
Collaborate with administration, faculty, families, and community partners
Fulfill responsibilities typical of a teacher and athletic director in an Adventist school
Required Experience
Seventh‑day Adventist church member in good standing
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Education, Education, or related field
NAD Teaching Certification preferred (or willingness to work toward certification)
Experience teaching physical education preferred
Experience coordinating athletic programs and scheduling multiple sports preferred
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, from diverse backgrounds, as well as with the Oregon State Athletic Association, and Administration
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Salary and benefits are based on the NAD denominational wage scale and policies.
