The Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer is a handson technical leader responsible for designing, building, and supporting complex, revenueimpacting transactional and operational email solutions within SFMC. This role owns endtoend execution of advanced SFMC development work, proactively identifies risks, and drives platform consistency, scalability, and reliability. In addition to delivery, the Senior SFMC Developer provides technical guidance to other developers, partners closely with solution architects and upstream teams, and leverages AIassisted development to improve efficiency, quality, and operational resilience across the platform. We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Developer to serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a high-volume email ecosystem supporting billions of emails annually, with a strong emphasis on transactional messaging. This role blends hands-on development, production support, troubleshooting, and solution design, working closely with business consultants and multiple downstream technical teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a complex, highly integrated environment, can quickly investigate and resolve issues across data, code, and integrations, and can step into a solution architect mindset when project work requires it.

Required Skills & Experience

Requirements: 10 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and development roles Enterprise level experience - large company (just the CRM 20 mil contacts and hundreds of thousands of products) Strong hands on experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder Proficiency with SQL, AMPScript, SSJS, HTML, and CSS Ability to develop new code, modify and troubleshoot existing code, and work across integrations within Marketing Cloud Experience working with integrations, specifically experience with OpenText PDF attachment workflows Proven experience owning complex transactional or operational email ecosystems Strong production support, troubleshooting, and release management experience Preferred if they have AI tools (currently use CoPilot or Cursor AI) Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
