This 6-month internship is designed for serious, reliable, and creatively sharp individuals who are ready to grow inside a real-time digital media environment . We are building future Social Media Managers, Content Producers, and Digital Strategists - not short-term contributors.

The Role
This is a 6-month, unpaid internship
designed for academic credit and/or professional development.
The role is remote with flexible structure; however, due to real-time publishing, interns must be available during peak traffic hours:
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST | Monday - Friday
Daily assignments are distributed at the start of the shift and must be completed by end of day.
Interns curate and publish
3-7 posts per day
using:
Trending topics Repurposed editorial content YouTube clips Pop culture moments Lifestyle features You will work alongside senior leadership and receive review on your posts to strengthen strategy, tone, and execution.
Responsibilities
Curate and draft engaging, platform-specific social posts. Write sharp, scroll-stopping captions aligned with our editorial voice. Identify and source trending entertainment and lifestyle content. Create Canva graphics using our templares and assist with short-form video edits. Repurpose articles into high-performing social content. Organize and prepare content to be scheduled using publishing tools. Capture social content at select Chicago-based events (when applicable). Pitch original content ideas that increase engagement and visibility. Participate in weekly mandatory Monday team meetings. Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing. Advanced Canva proficiency (this is non-negotiable). Strong writing skills and understanding of platform voice. Knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and lifestyle media. Comfort on camera or willingness to grow into it. Ability to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills. Highly organized and responsive. Able to commit to the full 6-month term. Preference will be given to candidates in the Chicago area who can occasionally attend events.
