Purchasing Agent (Dietary Supplements Specialist)
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Purchasing Agent to join our fast-growing Manufacturing & Packaging organization. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of purchasing and supply chain operations while contributing to a collaborative, supportive team. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and excited to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the procurement of raw materials, packaging components, and supplies to support production schedules
Create and process purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order status
Track and follow up on open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels and identifying replenishment needs
Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and documentation
Collaborate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies or issues
Learn and follow company purchasing policies, procedures, and quality standards
Requirements & Qualifications
Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations Experience a bonus but not required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset
