Location:
onsite in San Antonio, TX 78216 (remote on Fridays)
Pay Rate: $25-30/hour (depending on experience)
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience designing responsive web interfaces with a clear understanding of breakpoints and layout scaling
Advanced proficiency in FIGMA especially with auto layout components & variants, tokenized variables, multi‑mode and/or theme‑based systems
Experience working inside complex, custom design systems (not simple component libraries)
Understanding of how designs translate to CSS and front‑end behavior, including dynamic content states
Comfort collaborating with engineering teams and designing within technical constraints
Experience supporting consumer‑facing digital products (mobile apps and/or web platforms)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Experience with digital consumer products in QSR or retail (mobile ordering, loyalty, payments)
Ability to read or interpret code (any language) to discuss feasibility with engineers
Experience as a Product Owner or proxy PO leading backlog refinement and planning sessions
Familiarity with platform/RTT‑style environments or internal developer tooling
Exposure to EDI applications or troubleshooting workflows

You’ll take existing mobile app designs and translate them into clean, responsive web experiences, ensuring layouts scale correctly across screen sizes and align precisely with our custom design system. This is an ideal role for a mid‑level designer who excels at working within constraints, understands how designs behave in real products, and is highly fluent in Figma design systems, auto layout, and token‑driven UI.
Portfolio should include:
Responsive web examples showing how designs adapt across screen sizes
Work inside design systems, not just one‑off screens
Evidence of Auto Layout and component‑based thinking
IG Consultants: While on contract, you will be an Insight Global employee working for a particular company/end client on W2.
Pay Day:
You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week’s hours next Friday.
Holidays/Time Off:
While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are the hours you will be paid. We do not offer paid sick days, paid time off, or paid holidays, except as required by applicable law.
Consultant Benefits:
