Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, sales and operations-minded individual to independently manage our farm market stand most Saturdays. This is a customer-facing role requiring energy, organization, and the ability to confidently represent our farm and products.
You will directly interact with customers for 4+ hours each market day, driving sales while educating shoppers about how our products are raised and produced.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and break down market booth, including lifting farm crates, tables, boxes, and ice chests (up to 30 lbs.)
Operate point-of-sale system (iPad) and handle cash transactions accurately
Maintain attractive product displays and organized inventory
Engage customers in conversation, answer questions, and make confident sales recommendations
Stay calm and focused during busy periods or long lines
Problem-solve independently during the sales day
Touring the farm during onboarding to learn production practices and communicate them to customers
Qualifications
Dependable, trustworthy, and self-managed
Friendly, personable, and comfortable initiating conversation
Strong sales mindset and customer-first attitude
Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy market periods
Reliable transportation
Available to work Saturday mornings consistently
Interest in farming, gardening, sustainable food, or local agriculture is a strong plus
