The Dog Stop® is looking for a Professional Dog Trainer. In this role, you'll train dogs of all ages and breeds, craft personalized training plans, and deliver outstanding customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities
Conduct weekly group classes focusing on basic obedience and puppy training. Use positive reinforcement techniques to train dogs. Create and implement customized training plans. Meet with pet owners to discuss progress and expectations. Provide enriching activities for training sessions. Document and communicate training milestones. Lead group classes and private lessons. Collaborate with team members to ensure top-notch service. Recommend additional services to pet owners to grow our business. Create engaging content for social media. Qualifications
Group instruction experience in a professional setting (shelter, kennel, or training facility). Strong understanding of dog behavior and training techniques (operant and classical conditioning). Minimum of 2 years of experience in animal training. CCPDT Certification or willingness to obtain within a year. Must be willing to come in for a working interview. Work Environment
Fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere filled with fellow animal lovers. Hands-on interaction with dogs of all sizes in diverse environments. Physically able to handle dogs up to 60 lbs. All pay will be commission-based with the understanding that there is unlimited growth opportunity.
