A friendly, dependable Golf Course Starter / Ranger helps ensure smooth pace of play and a positive experience for all guests. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, interacting with golfers, and helping keep the course running efficiently.
Responsibilities
Greet golfers and manage tee times at the first tee
Ensure groups start on time and maintain proper spacing between tee times
Monitor pace of play throughout the course and politely encourage timely play when needed
Assist golfers with course information, rules, and local policies
Enforce course rules and etiquette in a professional, courteous manner
Communicate with the pro shop and course staff regarding course conditions or issues
Respond to on‑course situations such as slow play, lost items, or minor guest concerns
Operate golf carts safely while patrolling the course
Help create a welcoming, enjoyable atmosphere for all players
Qualifications
Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
Knowledge of golf etiquette and basic rules (preferred)
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with guests
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to walk, stand, and drive a golf cart for extended periods
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
