
SUMMARY
This is a full-time position under the immediate supervision of the Director of Communications. In this position, the Communications Strategist will contribute to the strategic direction and execution of PreventEd's Marketing & Communications efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES Work within a team of program staff to manage the voice of the organization to enhance its brand identity, communications, marketing, and fund development capabilities. Create, coordinate, and monitor content for PreventEd's social media efforts, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube. Produce and edit external communications, including but not limited to: blog and social media posts, website content, newsletter, email marketing, press releases, promotional materials, while ensuring that all content reflects an equity lens. Maintain the identity and brand of the agency and ensure that all agency-produced media conform to desired design quality and layout. Work with the Director of Communications to create effective email content for PreventEd's target audiences. Maintain the media relations database (MuckRack), identify relevant reporters for campaigns, create press lists, pitch stories and op-eds to media outlets. Assist in recording, producing, editing, and distributing the PrevenTable podcast. Update and maintain internal video and photography databases. Create engaging video and graphic content for storytelling and educational purposes, demonstrating excellent writing skills. Work as a member of the PreventEd team in all areas that promote the mission and overall success of the agency. Perform all other work as assigned. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Interest in personal and professional growth and the desire to seek supervision and knowledge to assist in this process. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in communications, or related field; or at least five (5) years of digital communications experience running social media and email strategy. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other equivalent graphic design and video editing platforms preferred. Ability to manage reporting of digital program metrics and synthesize data-driven insights to inform future strategic recommendations, preferably using Sprout Social. Hands-on experience managing the latest digital tools, including LinkedIn Ad and Twitter Ad platforms, Facebook Business Suite, Instagram, and TikTok. REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. COMPUTER SKILLS
E-mail, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, data entry. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other equivalent graphic design and video editing platforms preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a hybrid position with a schedule mutually agreed upon between employee and supervisor. Must have a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The physical requirements of this job includes: sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs on a regular basis; lifting up to 25lbs, pulling and/or pushing on occasion.
