Sports and Family Program Director

Full Time, Hourly | $44,000-$46,000 per year

Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience is preferred 21 years of age, 3+ years of experience instructing in the program area. Ability to work with others. Sensitive to others. Ability to perform activities, which require sustained concentration and attention. Exhibit strong leadership skills; possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence. The responsibilities we will trust you with:

Ensure YMCA program instruction is in accordance with YMCA program standards. Ensure adherence to YMCA progressive standards and quality. Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs. Design and implement inclusive and adaptive programs that meet the needs of individuals with disabilities across all age groups. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals to ensure programs are tailored to participants' specific needs. Develop and manage budgets specific to special needs programming. Plan and execute events such as adaptive sports showcases, inclusive family nights, and awareness campaigns to foster community engagement and inclusivity. Act as a point of contact for families to provide support, resources, and ongoing communication. Monitor and evaluate the success of adaptive programs through participant feedback, surveys, and measurable outcomes. Support and develop Dragonfly camp curriculum and activities in conjunction with YMCA program standards. Encourage and support staff volunteers and students to provide an enjoyable YMCA. Coordinate or conduct the evaluation of program skills; completion of progress reports for each session; Completion of communications for parents. Incorporate character development objectives into the program to reinforce the YMCA values of caring, Honesty, respect and responsibility. Participate as a part of the YMCA staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment. Provide excellent service to members and participants. Communicate all YMCA rules and ensure that you are accessible and identifiable. Complete timely reports of incidents or conflicts and inform supervisor. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Serve as a liaison between rental participants and branch to maintain open communication. Report to work on time in accordance with the schedule. Special projects as assigned. What you can expect:
