National Sales Executive
specializing in
LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)
and
FTL (Full-Truckload)
transportation solutions. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented position based in
Chicago , focused on developing new business and expanding national client relationships across diverse industries. The ideal candidate is a motivated logistics professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships and delivering value-driven freight solutions.
Key Responsibilities Drive
new business development
and grow national accounts across LTL and FTL transportation markets. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting shippers and manufacturers throughout the U.S. Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing. Collaborate with internal operations, pricing, and carrier management teams to design customized logistics solutions. Deliver persuasive sales presentations, RFP responses, and solution proposals tailored to client needs. Build long-term relationships through consistent communication, account management, and exceptional service delivery. Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data within CRM tools. Stay current with market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify new opportunities. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications 3–7 years
of proven experience in
domestic logistics sales , preferably in
LTL/FTL brokerage or 3PL environments . Strong knowledge of
carrier networks, freight pricing,
and
supply chain operations . Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and developing new customer relationships. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a competitive market. Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
