Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of real estate law, including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, and land use regulations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, legal research expertise, and proficiency with case management systems to support complex real estate transactions and litigation. As a vital member of our firm, the Real Estate Paralegal will facilitate document preparation, conduct thorough legal research, and provide administrative support to ensure seamless case progression and client service excellence. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all phases of real estate transactions, including drafting and reviewing contracts, deeds, title documents, and closing statements. Conduct detailed legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools on topics such as land use regulations, UCC law, environmental compliance, and tribal laws. Manage document review processes utilizing document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and organize legal files for litigation or transactional purposes while maintaining meticulous records in compliance with firm standards. Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and tracking case progress related to real estate development or disputes. Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, proofreading legal documents, transcription tasks, and managing correspondence with clients and external agencies. Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary to gather pertinent information for cases involving landlord-tenant issues, family law matters affecting property rights, or securities law considerations. Assist with legal administrative functions related to diverse practice areas including immigration law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, patent law, and tribal regulations as needed. Requirements Proven paralegal experience with a focus on real estate law or related practice areas such as estate planning or environmental law. Strong knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC law and land use regulations is highly desirable. Experience working within a law office environment utilizing document management systems like iManage or PCLaw. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and contract review processes. Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for client interactions. Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal case management software is preferred. Ability to perform thorough legal research across various practice areas such as tribal law & regulations or securities law when required. Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, data entry, document review, and administrative support functions essential for efficient office operations.
