our client, a premier real estate law firm , seeking an experienced
Senior Real Estate Paralegal
to join its San Francisco office. This is one of our favorite firms. The average employee at this firm has been there 12 years!
This role supports a sophisticated real estate practice focused on large-scale development, master planned communities, and complex subdivision transactions. It’s an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading real estate attorneys, developers, and consultants on high-profile projects throughout California.
Position Overview The Senior Real Estate Paralegal will play a critical role in managing subdivision filings, regulatory submissions, entity formations, and transactional logistics tied to complex development matters. The ideal candidate brings deep experience navigating California’s regulatory framework — particularly the
Subdivided Lands Law
— and has worked directly with the
California Department of Real Estate (DRE)
on public report filings and approvals.
Key Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal Assist in preparing, filing, and organizing applications and documentation required for submission to the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) Coordinate workflow and communications among developers, consultants, legal teams, title, and escrow Support pre- and post-closing logistics for complex real estate transactions Draft basic agreements, correspondence, document summaries, consents, schedules, and exhibits Prepare and coordinate entity formations, including: Limited liability companies (including single-member LLCs with SPE provisions) Subchapter S corporations C corporations Nonprofit corporations Handle entity modifications, including: Amendments, Mergers, Conversions, Dissolutions/cancellations Organize, review, and analyze due diligence materials, including UCC searches and local transfer requirements
Qualifications of Real Estate Paralegal Minimum
7+ years of experience
as a
Real Estate Paralegal
within a
law firm
environment Significant experience supporting
master planned communities
and
major subdivision transactions
preferred Strong working knowledge of the
California Subdivided Lands Law Experience preparing and filing materials with the
California Department of Real Estate (DRE) Entity formation and governance experience required

fully onsite for the first 90 days
to support onboarding and integration. Following that period, the role transitions to a
hybrid schedule , with an expectation of
