About the Role The Examination Development Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the entire development process of licensure examinations, ensuring compliance with client contracts and industry standards. This role is client-facing and involves both content development and psychometric analysis. This is a full-time, permanent position with flexible working hours during standard business operations, Monday through Friday. Employees have the option to work remotely, with occasional travel (up to 25%) required for meetings, events, and workshops. Role Responsibilities Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of licensure and certification tests. Design and conduct job analysis studies, including surveys and focus group discussions. Develop and refine test content specifications, ensuring clarity and relevance. Create and review test items suitable for various examination formats. Facilitate item and exam development committee meetings and training sessions, both virtually and in-person. Conduct statistical analyses on items, construct examinations, and evaluate exam effectiveness post-launch. Organize and lead workshops for standard setting and conduct studies relevant to the process. Perform pre-equating or post-equating analyses as required. Draft comprehensive technical reports summarizing the examination development process, performance data, and maintenance activities. Manage a portfolio of client projects, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to timelines. Consult with clients on best practices and methodologies in test development. Provide client-facing documentation to communicate activities related to test development and psychometric evaluations. Engage in operational projects and research initiatives to enhance service delivery. Present proposals at professional conferences and contribute to research for publication. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements A Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in I/O psychology, measurement, education, or a related field in assessment. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in professional test development, particularly in certification and/or licensure. Strong understanding of psychometric principles and practices. Proven experience in managing multiple projects while meeting timelines and deliverables. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of SAS, SPSS, and/or SQL is advantageous.
