The Lead Anaplan Solution Architect collaborates with user groups to effectively address business challenges through technology, including software, databases, and other tools. This role offers strategic advice to functional teams and requires advanced technical expertise.
As a vital partner to Finance and HR, the Lead Anaplan Solution Architect will ensure Anaplan is optimized to meet enterprise architecture, data governance, and strategic planning objectives. You'll translate business requirements into technical solutions and integrate various hardware and software interfaces. In this independent role, you'll make decisions on complex issues related to your job functions with minimal supervision.
Master Anaplan certification is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end Anaplan solution architecture within Workforce Planning and Management domains.
Operate at a strategic level, setting the architectural vision and standards for Anaplan across the organization.
Serve as a subject matter expert and key advisor for complex, enterprise-wide Anaplan implementations and integrations.
Guide and mentor Architects and team members in modeling frameworks, governance, and best practices.
Engage in strategic planning, platform optimization, and alignment with broader enterprise architecture initiatives.
Lead the design and execution of Anaplan modules for:
Finance : Headcount cost modeling, compensation planning, forecasting, scenario analysis.
HR : Position management, hiring plans, attrition modeling, workforce analytics.
Maintain integration strategies with enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, Snowflake) to ensure smooth data flow.
Act as a subject matter expert on Anaplan security models, user roles, and access controls across domains.
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in model development, testing, and deployment.
Develop and sustain reporting and dashboard solutions using Anaplan and compatible tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Advise Finance and HR leadership to help shape the enterprise planning roadmap.
Strategic & Technical Leadership
Act as a connector between IT, Finance, and HR to align planning tools with business strategy.
Contribute to the enterprise technology roadmap by assessing emerging trends in workforce planning and EPM platforms.
Encourage continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and driving innovation in planning processes.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
Manage efforts to drive adoption of new planning tools and capabilities.

Required Qualifications
10+ years of Anaplan experience, including model building, architecture, ALM, and security configuration.
Experience supporting Finance and HR domains in a planning or analytics context.
Strong knowledge of financial planning, workforce management, and organizational design.
Familiarity with systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, and Snowflake.
Practical experience with integration tools (e.g., Oracle OIC, Informatica, MuleSoft, Anaplan Connect, APIs).
Proficient with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Expertise in predictive modeling tools and techniques (e.g., Python, R, AzureML).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Anaplan Solution Architect or Master Anaplanner certification.
Experience with other EPM platforms (e.g., Oracle PBCS, Oracle EPM, Adaptive Insights, SAP BPC).
Background in enterprise architecture, data strategy, or IT business analysis.
Experience in agile environments and managing product backlogs.

Home Office Requirements
Must have a high-speed DSL or cable modem for your home office. For those living and working in California, internet expenses will be reimbursed.
A minimum standard speed of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and wireless internet service are not permitted for this position.
A dedicated work space free from disruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information is necessary.
This is a remote position, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is $172,200 - $236,900 annually, based on skills, experience, and geographic location. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
