Role Objectives Moose Toys is seeking a Head of Consumer Insights to uncover global insights that drive action, spark ‘aha’ moments and embed data-driven thinking that fuels innovation, brand building, and growth across Moose’s diverse toy portfolio.
As a strategic partner to Global Brand, Regional Marketing, Product Development, and Moose’s internal marketing agency, this leader will champion data driven decision making while preserving what makes Moose special: creativity, speed, and a strong connection to how kids actually play.

Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in consumer or market insights, ideally within toys, entertainment, consumer products, or a related category.
Proven expertise designing and leading custom research programs that influence innovation and brand strategy.
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with the ability to connect data to real‑world consumer behavior.
Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and creative teams through insight, not just reporting.
Experience managing external research partners and multiple stakeholders across geographies.
Working knowledge of digital insight tools, consumer tracking, and analytics platforms.
Advanced degree in psychology, statistics, economics, business, or a related field.
Experience conducting consumer research across multiple international markets (e.g., North America, Europe, APAC).
Passion for toys, play, entertainment, or gaming culture.
Responsibilities Insight Strategy & Trend Leadership
Own Moose’s global consumer insights agenda, with a sharp focus on kids’ play patterns, parent decision‑making, fandoms, and emerging cultural trends that shape the toy industry.
Continuously track shifts in play, entertainment, retail, and digital ecosystems to identify opportunities and risks for Moose brands.
Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, translating insight into clear implications for brand strategy, innovation pipelines, and go‑to‑market plans.
Design, commission, and lead primary research programs (quantitative and qualitative), from brief and methodology through synthesis and storytelling.
Balance speed and rigor by effectively leveraging external research agencies alongside in‑house tools and historical learning.
Lead consumer learning for innovation launches, line extensions, packaging, and product updates, ensuring insights meaningfully shape decisions before launch.
Develop and evolve global and regional audience segmentation frameworks for kids, parents, and collectors.
Build rich profiles that uncover motivations, needs, tensions, and play drivers to inform product design, brand positioning, and communications.
Insight Storytelling & Influence
Synthesize complex data into clear, inspiring narratives that create lightbulb moments and prompt action.
Tailor communication styles for diverse audiences, from creative teams and product developers to regional marketers and executive leadership.
Build scalable tools, dashboards, templates, and insight frameworks that enable teams to self‑serve and apply insights with confidence.
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or data quality issues and design practical solutions that improve speed, consistency, and impact.
Stakeholder & Agency Leadership
Partner closely with Global Brand, Regional Marketing, Product, Innovation, and Creative teams to ensure insight is embedded early and often.
Own relationships with consumer insight and research agency partners, setting clear standards for quality, relevance, and output.
People Management
Regularly review resourcing requirements for the department, recruits, interviews, selects and trains new staff.
Oversee the day‑to‑day workloads and performance of direct reports towards the achievement of agreed objectives, through the provision of clear direction, coaching and support.
Work with direct reports to set individual KPIs and conduct regular reviews in‑line with the Moose Performance Management Program.
Manage the training and professional development of team members, with an emphasis on providing timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis; and
Champion the Moose culture to ensure direct reports deliver on “The Wow”.

Salary Band USD $120,000-$130,000
