Are you a creative thinker who loves bringing ideas to life through design? The Lincolnwood Public Library is looking for a Marketing & Graphic Design Associate

to help tell our story through eye‑catching visuals, photography, and digital content. This is an in‑person, 18 hour per week position with the ability for a flexible schedule.

You’ll design posters, flyers, and social media graphics, keep our building displays looking great, and make sure everything—from bookmarks to banners—reflects the Library’s brand and community spirit. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both digital design and hands‑on production work, including the precise, behind‑the‑scenes tasks that keep everything looking polished.

We’re looking for someone with experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva or Adobe Express

who’s comfortable creating polished, on‑brand materials—but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’re tech‑savvy, have a good eye for color and layout, and are eager to learn, we’re happy to provide additional training and support.

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You…

Enjoy designing clean, engaging visuals for print and social media.

Have experience creating posters or promotional graphics.

Like a mix of digital design and hands‑on creative work.

Appreciate the craft of production—cutting, assembling, and refreshing printed materials with accuracy, consistency, and an eye for detail.

Are organized, collaborative, and detail‑oriented.

Want to grow your skills in a supportive, creative library environment.

At Lincolnwood Library, creativity meets community. You’ll join a small, collaborative team that values curiosity, innovation, and storytelling through design. Your work will help connect residents to the Library’s programs, services, and mission every day.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, public relations, or related field and one year of experience, or High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant design experience.

Experience producing flyers, social media graphics, or promotional materials for a library, park district, museum, or school is a plus.

Benefits include:

36 hours of vacation per year, increasing to 63 hours of vacation after the first year

43.2 hours of sick leave per year

Paid holidays if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday

One floating holiday (to be taken within a designated period)

If you’re ready to use your creativity for good—and grow your design skills along the way we’d love to hear from you!
