Campaign Associate Environment America Do you have a passion for protecting our planet? Environment America is seeking motivated Campaign Associates to lead impactful initiatives aimed at preserving our oceans, public lands, and advocating for clean energy solutions. Join us in the fight for clean air and water! Key Responsibilities As a Campaign Associate, you'll play a vital role in various environmental campaigns, focusing on causes such as safeguarding mature and old-growth forests, promoting renewable energy, and ensuring access to clean water and air. This position requires making significant decisions with discretion and independent judgment. Your responsibilities will include: Building Strong Coalitions:

Engage with diverse organizations and communities across the political spectrum to rally support for our campaign objectives. Organizing Events and Activating Volunteers:

Foster public support for your campaign, recruit community members to participate, and organize webinars, events, and public meetings aimed at educating and motivating the public. Gaining Media Awareness:

Organize media engagements, craft opinion pieces, and grow a social media following to amplify your campaign's message. Lobbying Elected Officials:

Conduct meetings with decision-makers, from local city council members to state legislators and Congress, to advocate for our campaign goals. Expanding Your Team:

Assist in growing your campaign team by recruiting volunteers, interns, and additional staff members. Summer Campaign Operations:

Manage a grassroots campaign office during the summer, focusing on door-to-door outreach to raise funds and bolster support for our initiatives. You'll be responsible for meeting fundraising goals and leading a paid staff team, potentially at a different office location. Qualifications We encourage entry-level candidates to apply. While we expect you to take charge of your campaign, training in advocacy and organizing will be provided, along with support from seasoned professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A strong commitment to environmental preservation and grassroots mobilization. Leadership experience and initiative. Exceptional writing and public speaking abilities. Excellent listening skills. A willingness to learn and grow. Organizing experience, such as building campus or community groups. Compensation and Benefits The target annual compensation range is $38,250 to $44,474 depending on location. Environment America offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents, paid sick time (60-72 hours/year based on location), vacation accrual, a commuter benefit program, a 401(k) plan with employer match, parental leave, long-term disability insurance, and potentially needs-based student loan assistance.
