Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role The company is seeking a dynamic Director of Data Center Engineering to lead the innovation-driven design, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art data centers. In this critical role, you will manage the entire engineering lifecycle of AI-centric data centers, translating visionary concepts into practical implementations while ensuring robust system integration and seamless commissioning processes. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, known for driving cutting-edge advancements in high-density, GPU-accelerated environments. You’ll play a vital role in developing and directing a talented, multidisciplinary engineering organization, establishing global engineering standards, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects. To thrive in this position, you should bring at least 10 years of experience in data center, semiconductor, or mission-critical infrastructure engineering, with a solid history in large-scale, high-density data environment operations. You must possess deep technical expertise in thermodynamics, power systems, energy management, along with proficiency in advanced cooling technologies and system-level optimization. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is essential, while an advanced degree or PE license will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate experience in modular, prefabricated, or hyperscale data center design and have a strong record in scaling engineering teams and processes for global operations. Familiarity with simulation, modeling, and data-driven design tools is a must, as well as a robust understanding of industry standards and best practices.
