Amazon is looking for a customer‑obsessed, data‑driven Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join its Journey Orchestration team for corporate (Amazon.jobs) and hourly (hiring.amazon.com) hiring. In this role, you are responsible for leading the Lifecycle Marketing team and developing and implementing global email, SMS, and push notification strategies that raise the bar for lifecycle automation globally. You will develop lifecycle strategies including ongoing automated journeys and ad hoc initiatives to attract and convert the highest‑quality talent efficiently, predictably, and at scale. Your lifecycle expertise will inform and prioritize martech roadmaps for lifecycle tools that improve team efficiency and scale outreach.

This is a critical role on the Journey Orchestration team within AIM to scale acquisition, engagement, and win‑back strategies. The successful candidate will raise the bar by demonstrating thorough knowledge of email, SMS and push notification marketing, extensive hands‑on experience with marketing automation platforms, and an ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners including Developers, Creative, Analytics, Employer Brand, Social, Journey Planning, Legal, and Biz Dev teams.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating compelling experiences through lifecycle mediums, is highly analytical, a fast learner, and has a proven record of developing and launching impactful lifecycle strategies. You are an expert in lifecycle channel best practices, keep abreast of emerging trends and are plugged into the digital communications space. You effectively work with both internal and external stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives and translate them into impactful communication strategies.

Key Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement data‑driven, multi‑channel lifecycle strategies including requirement gathering, audience segmentation, content strategy, campaign set up, QA, campaign launch, and ongoing reporting and optimization

Lead martech roadmap and planning for lifecycle tools and platforms

Research country‑specific nuances and user behavior to adapt lifecycle strategies to meet localized needs

Define campaign goals and relevant KPIs based on objectives

Deep dive existing lifecycle strategies and brainstorm opportunities to optimize performance and candidate experience

Develop and manage end‑to‑end campaign project plans and lead project kickoff and status check‑in meetings

Analyze, report on, and optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, and conversion rates using Adobe Analytics and platform‑level data

Recommend and implement iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging and targeting

Track channel best practices and industry trends to make proactive recommendations

Manage and develop the Lifecycle Marketing team

A day in the life: You will use data and best practices to create and implement email, SMS, and push notification strategies that enhance the job seeker experience and deliver results. The ideal candidate has experience leveraging data to gain insights that inform audience segmentation and campaign strategy, an eye for design, experience with content strategy, and extensive, hands‑on experience with CRMs and lifecycle automation tools. You will bring your proven creative, analytical, and strategic capabilities to implement and optimize compelling campaigns that deliver results.

About the Team The Journey Orchestration team is responsible for owned channel strategy (web, app, email, SMS, SEO) in Amazon's Attraction, Influence, and Marketing (AIM) organization, which helps hire hundreds of thousands of Amazonians every year. AIM achieves ambitious hiring goals by delivering exceptional, multi‑channel candidate experiences, engaging job seekers with maximum efficiency and precision.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience

5+ years of team management experience

Experience driving direction and alignment with cross‑functional teams

Experience building, executing and scaling cross‑functional email and push marketing campaigns (including automated flows) from concept to completion

Experience in a marketing focused role including customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation reporting, customer funnel analysis, and top‑line sales performance

Experience with in‑app messaging and mobile marketing platforms (Braze, Iterable, LeanPlum, Swrve, Adobe, Localytics, etc.)

Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Experience with CRM tools and systems that can be leveraged to drive customer engagement – including but not limited to Adobe, Salesforce, Unica, Marketo, Exact Target, Braze, etc.

Experience working with industry tools and analytics packages, including web analytics, targeting, testing, CRM, and marketing automation platforms

Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

Project management experience including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects

Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks

5+ years of segmentation and developing customer profiles experience

Experience using managed ML/AI solutions

The base salary range for this position is \$172,800.00 – \$233,800.00 USD annually (USA, NY, New York).
