
Senior Account Executive - Medical Advertising

Our client, a leading scientific publisher, requires a new Senior Account Executive for one of the world's leading research brands.
As the Senior Account Executive, you will contribute to our display advertising sales revenues. Reporting to the Global Head, you will work closely with the regional sales team to sell digital and content advertising solutions across our expansive portfolio of market-leading medical publications.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales of commercial advertising solutions across a defined print and digital portfolio within the clinical and healthcare sector, aligned to an assigned geographic territory
Consistently achieve revenue targets by developing long-term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
Build and maintain a strong market presence and visibility within the assigned sales territory
Grow and manage a portfolio of accounts, developing a deep understanding of client structures, strategies, and objectives to strengthen partnerships and increase investment
Maintain a high level of outbound sales activity, including regular client meetings and prospecting calls
Collaborate effectively with internal colleagues to foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Develop strong working relationships with internal commercial teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives
Build a thorough understanding of key business segments, competitive dynamics, and market trends, using this insight to identify and propose new commercial opportunities
Represent the organisation at industry events and conduct on-site client visits as required
Ensure accurate sales reporting and administration through CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other internal tools
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or sales support, with a strong emphasis on business development and some account management exposure
Experience selling to or working with healthcare or life sciences agencies
Results-driven, competitive mindset with the ability to quickly absorb and apply new information
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly via phone, video, email, and in person
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to distil complex information into clear, compelling messages
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Willingness to travel (approximately 10%)
