As a Mortgage Lending Quantitative Analyst, you will be instrumental in revolutionizing our data analysis strategies across marketing, customer engagement, pricing analytics, profitability evaluations, and market insights. In this role, you will modernize our analytics toolkit using Carrington Capital Management's advanced analytics platform, tailor proprietary models for lending applications, and integrate performance insights into our operational procedures. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is essential. The target compensation for this position is between $80,000 and $150,000, plus an annual bonus based on qualifications and experience. Your Responsibilities: Data Management:

Integrate and harmonize datasets from loan origination, servicing, marketing, and customer interactions to produce actionable insights and performance metrics.

Model Implementation:

Develop wrappers and interfaces for incorporating current pricing, prepayment, and credit-risk models into our lending platform.

Performance Integration:

Incorporate lending performance and P&L results back into our analytics ecosystem to enhance investor reporting.

Reporting:

Design and maintain dashboards and reports to track key lending metrics, including recapture rates, marketing ROI, and pricing variance.

Performance Analysis:

Generate and present performance reports to senior management; gather insights from loan officers to optimize our strategies.

Collaboration:

Work closely with pricing, portfolio, investor relations, and capital markets teams to align analysis with lending strategies and investor objectives.

Analytics Modernization:

Streamline data processes, standardize definitions across systems, and implement cutting-edge analytics tools.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborate with IT, CRM, operations, and vendor teams to ensure data integrity and timely insights.

Ad-Hoc Analysis:

Provide timely responses to unique requests from senior management and other departments.

Undertake additional tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.

At least one year of experience in mortgage lending analytics or capital markets analytics; strong programming candidates may also be considered.

Proficient in Python and SQL for data analysis and management; familiarity with machine learning techniques is advantageous.

Experience in adapting proprietary quantitative models and integrating analytics pipelines.

Expertise in data cleansing, ETL processes, and extracting meaningful insights from unstructured data.

A proven track record in creating self-service dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau or similar).

Strong understanding of loan origination and servicing processes, particularly in customer recapture.

Excellent communication skills: capable of explaining complex analytics in a clear and accessible way for non-technical stakeholders.

Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong mathematical and statistical skills.

Experience processing large datasets using Python and relevant statistical packages.

Familiarity with Linux environments is a plus.

A motivated team player who is a quick learner with effective communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to efficiently handle multiple priorities.
