About the Role Our client is looking for a strategic, detail‑obsessed, and forward‑thinking technical accounting expert who can guide the organization through evolving accounting standards, complex transactions, and high‑visibility reporting. This leader will work cross‑functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Executive Leadership, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clarity in all things financial.
What You’ll Do
Lead the research, interpretation, and implementation of new accounting standards (ASC, GAAP, SEC regulations)
Serve as the in‑house technical accounting authority and thought partner for senior leadership
Evaluate and document complex transactions (M&A, revenue arrangements, equity, leases, impairments, consolidations, etc.)
Oversee accounting policy creation, maintenance, and governance
Support external audits and serve as primary liaison for technical accounting matters
Lead special projects involving financial reporting improvements, new system integrations, and process optimization
Mentor and elevate a high‑performing accounting team
What You Bring
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)
8+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including public accounting
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and complex transaction reporting
Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence executives and cross‑functional partners
Ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and solve problems with precision
Excellent communication skills — you can translate accounting complexity into business clarity
