Director of Analytics

Our client, a private equity–backed, high-growth business, is seeking a Director of Analytics to serve as the analytical engine of the organization. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO, with direct exposure to executive leadership and sponsors.
This individual will sit at the intersection of data & analytics, FP&A, and value creation , delivering executive-ready insights that drive pricing, margin expansion, operational optimization, and strategic decision-making. The right person will translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, and influence real decisions at the executive and Board-level.
Onsite role based in Greater Cleveland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and Board-level analytics
- Partner directly with the CEO and finance leadership on value-creation initiatives
- Drive pricing, margin, and supplier/customer profitability analysis
- Support weekly flash reporting, monthly operating reviews, budgeting, and forecasting
- Build forward-looking scenario models and business cases for strategic initiatives
- Support M&A diligence, integrations, and preparation for a future exit
Must bring:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, FP&A, consulting, or business intelligence
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of unit economics, margin drivers, and performance management
- Advanced Excel and modeling capabilities (comfortable working with large, imperfect datasets)
- Experience building executive dashboards and Board-ready materials
- A bias toward ownership, accountability, and process improvement
- Experience in a PE-backed, transaction-oriented, or high-growth environment is strongly preferred.
