The SEMI Foundation is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director – Workforce and Education Alliance with excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role involves working with Foundation leadership to conceive, organize, promote, and implement a national alliance for semiconductor workforce and education efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and strengthening relationships with industry, academic networks, and workforce partners.
- Overseeing the creation of a digital portal for educational assets.
- Supporting industry image, awareness strategies, and regional workforce development efforts.
- Managing a portfolio of regional consortia involved in workforce development and education programs.
- Collaborating with external stakeholders such as employers, unions, educational institutions, and government agencies.
- Leading strategic initiatives, incubating pilot programs, and building organizational capacity.
Qualifications include:
- Extensive experience in workforce development, including managing industry-led programs with multiple partners.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. educational landscape at all levels.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, program management, and large-scale national initiatives.
- Knowledge of federal and state workforce systems and budget management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred qualifications: BS/BA degree or relevant experience, 5-8+ years in workforce development management, experience with proposal writing, and familiarity with the microelectronics/semiconductor industry.
Compensation: CA, WA, D.C., NY, MD, VA, NJ: $162,000 – $202,600/year; other states: $137,800 – $172,200/year. Exact salary varies based on skills, experience, and location.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, SEMI Foundation, managing a team of national positions. Travel approximately 20% is required.
