$140,000 – $180,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced
Public Works Superintendent
to lead and manage multiple active infrastructure projects in the field. This role focuses on pump stations, sewer, storm, and water pipeline projects throughout the Bay Area.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-driven leader who can successfully oversee several projects simultaneously while coordinating with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and public agency stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Supervise construction and installation of infrastructure systems, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion
Manage daily on-site activities, including oversight of crews and subcontractors
Coordinate closely with Project Managers on schedules, budgets, and execution plans
Ensure compliance with permits, environmental regulations, and safety standards
Conduct site inspections and proactively address safety or performance concerns
Resolve field and personnel issues to prevent project delays
Review and approve daily reports and project documentation
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in sewer, water, storm, or pipeline construction
Experience working for a contractor as a Superintendent managing multiple projects at once
BS in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Construction Management (BSCM) preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
