Overview
The Business Lending Specialist is primarily responsible for preparing accurate loan documents, booking/onboarding business loans into the core processing system and funding loans. The role ensures files are set up correctly, administers the loan document tracking system and provides administrative support to the business lending team. Responsibilities
Prepares loan documents in accordance with approved loan terms and conditions Works closely with attorney to prepare loan documents Works with title company to coordinate real estate loan closings Works closely with borrowers to obtain documents needed for closing Performs pre-closing and post-closing review of documents for accuracy Books and funds closed loans on core operating system Creates and maintains both digital and traditional loan files Sets up ongoing loan document tracking items Administers loan document tracking system Provides service support to borrowers, business team, and front line staff Processes funding requests on lines on credit Provides administrative support to department manager Prepares reports as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education: College Degree in business related field of study preferred. High School diploma or GED is required. Experience and Other Requirements: Three to Five years of business loan closing experience or related experience. Experience with Corelation / Keystone operating system is preferred. Business Services Competencies: Must possess exceptional knowledge of documentation needed to close business loans and perfect liens. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Interpersonal Skills: Must demonstrate professionalism, be able to handle complex member inquiries in an assertive and tactful manner. Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines and perform the job with accuracy and attention to detail. ADA Requirements: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
