Reports to Property and Compliance Director

Use your organizational and people skills in this team environment and help older adults have a wonderful living experience at award-winning Covenant Place Apartments (https://covenantplacestl.org/), located in mid-St. Louis County.

Position Summary: The receptionist is the first point of contact for the organization and responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone calls, and ensuring resident and property issues are inputted into the software system and communicated to the appropriate department.

Responsibilities:

Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate staff person

Greet visitors

Communicate resident concerns to appropriate staff

Input resident reservations for meal program/activities, into the software system

Write work tickets for maintenance requests and input into the software system or call out priority work tickets via radio

Communicate pest control requests

Print and provide room set ups to maintenance

Track mailbox and other keys, as needed

Maintain updated list of tenant vehicles and license plate numbers and input into software system

Maintain night log and resident notices binders

Maintain list of pet owners

Distribute weekly tenant absence from property list

Contact equipment vendors, when needed

Maintain copier supplies and call for equipment maintenance when needed

Make copies of resident notices for distribution

Sort and distribute mail

Other duties as requested

Qualifications:

Prompt and dependable

2-3 years’ experience in senior housing (a plus)

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word

Yardi Property Management Software knowledge a plus

Excellent organizational skills, ability to work on multiple projects/responsibilities

Self-starter

Ability to work with diverse cultures, including non-English speaking residents (with translation support)

Must be able to lift 5 lbs., ambulate across a large property, be able to communicate clearly on telephone and in person

Ability to sit at a desk for several hours

Experience and interest in working with seniors a plus

Ability to understand/speak Russian and/or Chinese Mandarin (a plus)

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
