
Account Manager (Licensed 440 or 220)

The Account Manager will manage and service an assigned book of business while maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires an active Florida 4‑40 Customer Representative license or 2‑20 General Lines license and the ability to independently service accounts, retain policies, cross‑sell coverage, and quote new business. This position plays a key role in client retention, revenue growth, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and service an assigned book of personal and/or commercial lines accounts
Process policy changes, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements
Review coverage with clients and identify gaps or additional coverage opportunities
Cross‑sell and round out accounts to increase retention and account value
Quote new business and present proposals to prospects
Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
Handle billing inquiries and assist clients with claims guidance
Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and underwriters
Proactively contact clients ahead of renewals to ensure retention
Qualifications
Active Florida 4‑40 or 2‑20 license required
Minimum of 2 years insurance agency experience preferred
Experience managing a book of business
Strong understanding of personal and/or commercial lines coverage
Ability to quote new business and identify cross‑sell opportunities
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational abilities
Experience with agency management systems (Applied Epic preferred)
