Freight Broker
to join a growing logistics organization supporting a well-established, asset-based trucking operation. This
hybrid role
offers the chance to play a key part in expanding freight brokerage operations by managing shipments end-to-end, building strong carrier and customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong problem-solving skills, and is motivated by performance-based earnings through commission opportunities.
Responsibilities
Receive and promptly acknowledge customer load requests
Enter loads into Transportation Management Software (TMS) accurately
Source, vet, and assign carriers to shipments
Track shipments from booking through final delivery
Provide proactive updates to customers, including pickup and delivery ETAs
Identify and resolve delays or service issues quickly and professionally
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carrier partners
Provide competitive quotes and pricing to customers in a timely manner
Support business development efforts with new and existing accounts
Monitor margins and contribute to revenue growth targets
Maintain accurate shipment records and update systems as needed
Required Experience
Proven experience as a freight broker, logistics coordinator, or similar role
Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and transportation-related software systems
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Preferred Experience
Established carrier relationships or industry network
Strong negotiation skills and margin management experience
Demonstrated ability to grow accounts or generate new business
