This Assistant Professional will be a seasonal position beginning in mid-April and ending in late October. There is some flexibility on exact start and end dates. The successful applicant will be expected to be a great teammate and driven to learn and grow into a more senior role of the Golf Operation in the future.
This Assistant Professional will have ownership over the following aspects of the Golf Operation at Southward Ho:
Director of Junior Golf – Oversees all junior programming, including PGA Junior League, clinics, and events.
Responsible for delegating junior-related duties as appropriate and ensuring adequate instructors and coaches are assigned to each program and event. Bill out junior programming fees to member accounts.
Supervise and elevate the Outside Operations Team, including Range Staff, Bag Room, Starters, and Bag Drop, fostering a culture of service, efficiency, and professionalism.
Design and manage the Outside Operations schedule to ensure seamless daily operations and exceptional member service. Proactively assess staffing levels and collaborate with Taylor on recruitment and hiring when needed.
Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly rounds and pace-of-play reports, contributing meaningful insights to Taylor in advance of Golf and Greens Committee meetings.
Clean and organize the Professional Shop and back storage area regularly.
