
Job Description
At Regions, the Commercial Evaluation Group (CEG) Commercial Real Estate Evaluator performs analyses and evaluations on moderately complex commercial properties. Primary Responsibilities
Independently analyzes commercial properties to estimate the market value of collateral pledged against real estate loans Works with vendor managers, relationship managers, underwriters, and other bank associates to ensure that evaluation requests are submitted in the RIMS system with accurate information Controls and assists in mitigating risk within the CEG Recommends solutions and solves issues regarding collateral analyzed and valued Impacts decisions regarding collateral to be pledged to real estate secured loans Utilizes Sales Comparison and Income Analyses in the valuations of commercial properties Assists senior management in ensuring that goals and objectives are clearly communicated and attained on a consistent basis Offers advice and guidance to junior evaluators, assisting in the development of necessary skills and the promotion of continuous improvement initiatives This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field Four (4) years of experience in real estate analysis, underwriting, or appraisal Advanced understanding of real estate terminology and valuation methods Advanced ability to utilize data analysis and selection in the estimation of values Advanced ability to perform moderately complex valuations on commercial properties using applicable analyses Preferences
State Certified Commercial Real Estate Appraiser Commercial Real Estate related designation or affiliation such as Member Appraisal Institute (MAI), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), or Certified Property Manager (CPM) Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn additional systems as needed Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts Ability to work under limited guidance Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills Strong work ethic and self-motivation Position Type
