Sports Research is seeking a full-time Paid Media Lead – Social to own the strategy, performance, and cross-functional execution of our paid social programs across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This role is central to Sports Research’s 2025 growth plan: driving efficient customer acquisition, scaling content performance, and converting creative insights into results. You’ll lead agency partners, collaborate with internal creative and social media teams, and ensure each campaign performs against CAC, ROAS, and NTB goals.

Responsibilities Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Channel Strategy & Leadership

Define the paid social strategy across Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest; align with department OKRs.

Lead quarterly planning, set channel-level benchmarks, and make pacing adjustments within performance guardrails.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

Oversee live campaigns across platforms with daily performance reviews and bid/budget optimization.

Direct agencies on account structure, targeting refinement, and creative rotation—own the output.

Brief Brand, Creative Media and Communication teams on asset needs, hooks, and variations tied to funnel stage.

Drive a structured test-and-learn roadmap across formats, value props, and audience narratives.

Performance Insights & Reporting

Translate platform and Domo insights into actionable narrative for monthly OKR and cross-team syncs.

Partner with the Media Analyst to surface trends, test learnings, and budget reallocation opportunities.

Cross-Functional Influence

Sync weekly with Brand, eComm, and Comms to ensure alignment across PDP readiness, influencer assets, and audience segmentation.

Serve as the go-to partner for demand gen, launch timing, and Spark/whitelist asset deployment.

Agency Management

Lead weekly agency standups and quarterly business reviews; own campaign delivery and SLAs.

Evaluate new platforms, pilot opportunities, and beta access in coordination with the Paid Media Manager.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure all campaigns comply with platform policy, FTC/FDA guidance, and brand standards.

Coach junior team members and agency partners; share best practices, campaign post-mortems, and AI workflows weekly.

Contribute to internal Wrike libraries and cross-functional learning sessions.

Create and update SOP’s related to your role.

Skills & Qualifications Experience & Qualifications

4–6+ years hands‑on campaign management in paid social (brand or agency), including at least $5M/year in budget ownership.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Technical Proficiency

Deep expertise in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Pinterest Ads, and GA4; bonus for experience with Domo or Looker.

AI‑savvy: familiar with ChatGPT, Gemini, or equivalent for workflow acceleration (e.g., creative briefs, budget modeling).

Strategic & Creative Fluency

Comfortable translating funnel strategy into tactical execution—and spotting when execution needs a reset.

A sharp eye for performance creative: from scroll‑stoppers to high‑LTV remarketing hooks.

Adept at aligning internal teams around what’s working and what’s next.

Builds momentum through data‑backed narratives, not just direction.

Working Conditions This role works in a home office setting with a desk, internet and computer.

Physical Requirements

Work involves sitting or standing most of the day.

Typing and applying pressure with the fingers and palm required.

Expressing or exchanging information by means of the spoken or written word.

Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

Reading and writing in English.

Clarity or vision at approximately twenty inches or less to perform an activity such as: analyzing data and figures; and extensive reading, primarily on a computer monitor.

Occasional travel needed to corporate office in san Pedro, CA.
