Brown & Brown is Seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist to join our growing team in Troy, MI! The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the agency's marketing initiatives by building and maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers. This role includes managing the binding of coverage, collaborating closely with underwriting teams, and ensuring the seamless transition from submission to binding. The ideal candidate will work with producers, account managers, and underwriting staff to ensure timely and efficient handling of client submissions, while adhering to agency processes, policies, and Quality Control Guidelines. How You Will Contribute Establish, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with carrier partners to provide a benefit to the profit center, as it relates to optimizing coverage and pricing. Participate in carrier meetings & events, including after-hours events, for the purpose of relationship building and staying atop changes in the market Market new and renewal accounts by preparing insurance submissions and ensuring internal compliance and client disclosure requirements and policies meet client expectations, legal requirements. Identify gaps in coverage and advise the team with options: as well as work through complex coverage needs. Rate new policies and complete applications and other required documentation Implement marketing strategies set for the department incorporating new products and services, tailor unique coverage needs for select markets Support the transition of accounts from Marketing to the client service team Ensure there is cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Service and Marketing when it comes to Marketing projects Collaborate with team Leader to develop, review and prepare monthly KPI's to measure progress in achieving goals and objectives within the marketing department Follow workflows to assure quality controls and deadlines are met Determine and develop marketing and new business opportunities with carrier partners and production staff Licenses and Certifications: P&C License Skills & Experience to Be Successful 5 years insurance experience (preferred) · Associate or bachelor's degree in business or financial related discipline (preferred) Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all commercial lines insurance coverage Experience with personal computers and related software (Microsoft Office Work, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be a leader and team player Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Willingness and ability to travel to attend carrier meetings, events and other industry meetings This position requires routine travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.
