About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead the establishment of its Nashville site. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and running a community-wide Selection Advisory Council, leading the annual selection process for portfolio organizations, and engaging with the local community to ensure that the voice of those with lived experience of poverty is heard in determining priority needs and solutions. This role also involves external relations, including representing the organization, cultivating relationships with various stakeholders, and leading fundraising efforts to secure the necessary resources for the Nashville site and its portfolio organizations.
Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a proven track record in entrepreneurial environments, experience in the philanthropic, nonprofit, or business sectors, and a strong commitment to the mission of the organization. The role requires a leader with strong analytical skills, superb communication abilities, and a collaborative, action-oriented approach. While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not required. The ideal candidate will be a creative, entrepreneurial individual with a passion for social change, a deep understanding of the issues facing low-income residents, and a commitment to bringing a racial equity lens to their work.
