Gallipolis Christian Church is prayerfully seeking a Gospel-centered Pastor to serve and shepherd our congregation. We are a Christ-focused, elder-led church committed to glorifying God, making disciples, and reaching our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Position Overview
The Pastor will serve as a shepherd, teacher, and leader within the church body, faithfully preaching God’s Word, equipping the saints for ministry, and walking alongside the elders in spiritual oversight of the congregation. Qualifications
A clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, marked by humility, prayer, and personal holiness Strong commitment to the authority of Scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ A true shepherd’s heart—loving, guiding, and caring for the flock (1 Peter 5:1–4) Agreement with and support of elder-led church governance Experience in pastoral ministry required; seminary or Bible college training preferred Responsibilities
Preach and teach the Word of God faithfully and consistently Lead with the elders in shepherding the congregation and discerning God’s direction for the church Provide pastoral care, discipleship, and counseling as needed Equip and encourage the body to live out the Great Commission Model servant leadership in word and deed Oversee paid staff and volunteer ministry leaders Compensation
Starting salary: $55,000, with adjustments based on education and experience. Additional benefits to be discussed during the interview process. About Us
