Overview

Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Supply Chain and Sourcing to lead and scale our client’s growing accessories division. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end product lifecycle and supply chain operations, while managing global teams and fostering strong relationships with overseas manufacturing partners. This position requires frequent international travel and quarterly in-region visits to ensure seamless execution and alignment with production goals.

Location : This is a full-time, on-site role based at our client’s New York City headquarters (Monday–Friday). This role also requires extensive travel to Asia (2-4 weeks 1-2x per quarter).

Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle & Calendar Management: Oversee and manage the full T&A calendar, ensuring cross-functional accountability across design, sourcing, planning, and marketing teams; validate production timelines and cross-departmental deliverables; lead project management checkpoints and drive improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency; develop and execute comprehensive production strategies to ensure timely and budget-conscious product delivery that aligns with broader business objectives.
  • End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership: Direct all aspects of the supply chain, including demand planning and inventory purchasing; act as the strategic liaison between design, planning, and finance teams to synchronize order flow, inventory levels, and purchasing strategies.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of domestic and internationally based full-time employees; coordinate clear and consistent communication across design, development, production teams, and third-party manufacturers; oversee progress against project milestones and ensure timely updates from all stakeholders.
  • Product Development Alignment: Align weekly product development efforts with overarching business priorities to ensure streamlined execution and goal alignment.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor team performance relative to company KPIs, providing timely and actionable insights; enhance the reporting infrastructure to become more comprehensive and automated for improved decision-making.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement initiatives that optimize operational workflows and maximize resource use; evaluate performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement strategic solutions to elevate quality and efficiency across operations.
  • Technology & Systems Integration: Lead the integration and optimization of technology solutions across the supply chain; identify and implement innovative tools that streamline processes, boost product quality, and support long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing the full product lifecycle across international supply chains, with a focus on product management.
  • Proven leadership experience with Asia-based teams and the ability to travel abroad quarterly for extended site visits.
  • Hands-on experience working with manufacturers in China and/or Southeast Asia.
  • Deep cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering across creative, design, and manufacturing teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities in complex data sets.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Monday.com), ERP systems (preferably NetSuite), and PLM tools, including successful implementation histories.
  • A demonstrated record of strategic leadership in a corporate environment.

Salary : Up to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
